Several properties within the Schema.org vocabulary are intended to describe countries. For validation purposes, we attempt to match them with real-world countries. Typically, they should be referenced using one of the following methods, but refer to individual properties for official details.

• ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code — e.g. US for United States, DE for Germany
• ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code — e.g. USA for United States, DEU for Germany
• Localized Name — e.g. United States, Deutschland
